Children who test positive or develop COVID-19 symptoms, regardless of age or vaccination status, shall isolate by staying home for 10 days.

Children who isolate may return on the 11th day if they do not have fever in a 24-hour period without using fever-reducing medications and other symptoms of COVID-19 have improved AND can provide proof of negative test result.

Day 0 in calculation isolation period is the day the positive test was taken (if asymptomatic).

Whether you are vaccinated or not, if you or your child tested positive for COVID-19, do not go to school, notify the school, and stay at home except to get medical care until at least 10 days have passed since symptoms first appeared; AND at least 24 hours have passed since last fever without use of fever-reducing medicine; AND symptoms have improved. Student may return to school if and when all of the conditions have been met. Not required by law, but to keep other children and staff safe, please take a test before returning to school.

Close Contact is defined as someone who has been within six feet of a person with COVID-19 for 15 minutes or more, or within 3 feet for students in classroom over a 24-hour period (regardless of mask use).

Children two (2) years and older who can wear masks correctly and consistently, who are identified as close contacts shall quarantine for five (5) days and return on Day six (6) with a negative test result if they do no develop symptoms

Children should get tested at least five (5) days after exposure.
